BIOMETRICS is an automated Multi-modal Biometric System that leverages the highly advanced features of smart cards, radio frequency identification, document security and machine-readable travel documents. It enables law enforcement and border control agencies to accurately and seamlessly capture, store, search and verify/identify using "match-on-card", a combination of biometric data such as fingerprints, face, iris, palm or voice identifiers and biographic data of a person to authenticate and check against a "watch list" of suspects.
